It is a short, painless procedure that reshapes the cornea and reduces or eliminates the need for glasses or contacts to correct your sight.
Undergoing this surgery is mostly a choice and not a compulsion. Also, not everyone is suitable for a Lasik treatment. Sometimes, certain factors can increase your risk of an undesirable outcome.
LASIK is the most successful and widely used technique for correction of refractive errors like Myopia, Hypermetropia and Astigmatism using special kind of lasers.
The procedures involve the use of Microkeratome (blade) or Laser (Blade-free) to cut a thin flap on the cornea. This flap is then opened like a page in a book and the underlying stoma is exposed.

The procedures involve the use of Microkeratome (blade) or Laser (Blade-free) to cut a thin flap on the cornea. This flap is then opened like a page in a book and the underlying stoma is exposed.
An Excimer laser, controlled by high functioning computers, is then fired into the stoma of the cornea. This excimer laser alters the consistency of the cornea thus bringing the desired change in the refractive capacity. The flap is then retracted. Do not worry about the retraction, no stitches are required.
Our highly-qualified surgeons use the most technically advanced lasers to provide great results. They will discuss with you the option best suited to your eyes and lifestyle. This includes a pre-procedure visit and thorough examination, the procedure itself, and all the follow-up care to ensure the best possible results. So, do not worry, you are in safe hands.
The Cornea (an outermost transparent layer of the eye), the Lens and the Retina play the most important role in enabling us to see.
The cornea and lens “refracts” (bends) the light rays to converge onto a specific spot on the Retina to form an image. The cornea and lens can be compared to the lens of a camera and the retina to a film.Sometimes the cornea and lens fail to converge all the light rays to a single specific spot on the retina causing blurred or unclear vision known as Refraction error. This is when spectacles are required to have a clear vision.
